Robert M Press, MS, DC

candidate1 smallDr. Robert Press grew up in Bergen County, NJ, variously attending the Elizabeth Morrow Elementary School in Englewood, and Fair Lawn High School before graduating from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a BS and MS in computer science, minoring in applied physics.

Although he did not realize it at the time, all of these educational experiences were laying the foundations for his career in chiropractic medicine.  While attending National University of Health Sciences for his chiropractic education, he joined the research department as a research assistant, and was eventually accepted into the research fellowship on the strength of his science background and laboratory experience.

As the research fellow, he assisted with several important research projects, helping with data analysis, and preparing figures for publication.  He was also privileged to serve as webmaster for the very successful website, MassageNet.org - a practice-based research network for massage therapists.

It is Dr. Press' goal to serve both his patients and the chiropractic profession by using only the latest scientifically validated methods and therapies.  Research is a strong part of his background and motivation, and it is his intention to continue to collect meaningful information and observations that can benefit the scientific community.  He regularly appraises the chiropractic and medical literature, keeping himself informed of the latest advances in treatment methods and therapies.

He firmly believes in the motto that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."  Through the use of preventative medicine, consisting of exercise, nutrition and lifestyle advice, he believes that most medical problems can be effectively prevented or minimized.
